摘 要：多协议标记交换是将IP选路的灵活特性和ATM的高速交换结合在一起的技术。移动IP是一种允许用户在到处活动时仍然保持连续的IP网络连接性协议。本文提出了一种方案来综合移动IP和MPLS协议。由于MPLS 具有高速交换、少量的状态维护开销和高可量测性的特征，通过综合的方法可以提高移动IP数据转发过程的可量测性。本文还详细说明了综合MPLS与移动IP所必需的信号传输和控制机制。

Integration of Mobile IP and Multi-Protocol Label Switching
Abstract: Multi-Protocol Label Switching is a technology that combines the simplicity of IP routing with the high-speed switching of ATM. Mobile IP is a protocol that allows users to move around and yet maintain continuous IP network connectivity. In this paper, we propose a scheme to integrate the Mobile IP and MPLS protocols. The integration improves the scalability of the Mobile IP data forwarding process by leveraging on the features of MPLS which are fast switching, small state maintenance and high scalability. This paper also defines the signaling and control mechanisms required to integrate MPLS and Mobile IP.
